For New Users:
Step 1: User ID Set Up
The first step to accessing the training is to set up a user account.
Each individual user will create his/her own account.
Click on “New users, click here to enroll” and enter a user name (of your choice), first name, last name, and email address. Click the “Next” button.
Step 2: Enroll in a Course
You will see a list of available courses. Double-click on the course you want.
Step 3: Course Instructions
Prior to the training starting, you will receive an option to participate in a brief tutorial about using the system. Click “Yes” for instructions and “No” to begin the course.
For Returning Users:
Step 1: User ID
Enter your User ID in the “ID” box. Click the “Login” button.
Verify that your information is correct, and click on the “Accept” button.
Step 2: Enroll in a Course
You will see a list of available courses. Double-click on the course you want.
Step 3: Course Instructions
Prior to the training starting, you will receive an option to participate in a brief tutorial about using the system. Click “Yes” for instructions and “No” to begin the course.
Each e-learning course provides concise, comprehensive and relevant information that will help participants improve competence, acquire new skills and learn about current research. Choose which program best meets the training and development needs of your organization.
Essential Learning has recently received full accreditation by NADSP to deliver over 200 hours of training to Direct Support Professionals. NADSP accreditation assures that those who successfully complete Essential Learning training courses will be eligible for national credentialing.

Essential Learning has been provisionally accredited by the National Alliance of Direct Support Professionals (NADSP). They will continue the NADSP accreditation process to ensure full accreditation is received by next year.
NADSP accreditation assures that those who successfully complete Essential Learning training courses will be eligible for national credentialing. Direct Support Professionals who complete Essential Learning’s approved training curriculum may now use these training hours toward the 200 educational hours required to become a Certified Direct Support Professional (DSP-C) as well as to maintain their certification which requires the completion of 20 hours of continuing education every two years.
