FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

DECEMBER 21, 2015 | ROCK HILL, NY — Irwin Siegel Agency, Inc. (ISA) conducts its annual employee toy drive for the children of the Sullivan County Federation for the Homeless (SCFH). Now in its eighth year, the annual event of purchasing toys and essential clothing for the children of SCFH has become one of the year’s highlights at ISA. Games, toys, coats and hats are some of the over 900 gifts that have been provided over the years. The photo shows just some of this year’s gifts prior to delivery.

SCFH operates the only soup kitchen in Sullivan County, which has the fourth highest rate of child poverty in New York State. They are committed to developing individualized and community wide plans for disadvantaged people in an attempt to break the cycles of poverty that cause homelessness and hunger. SCFH serves breakfast and lunch five days a week, in addition to providing pantry bags filled with nutritional food which are given out bi-weekly to local disadvantaged people.

“While it is truly better to give than to receive, the feelings of warmth and satisfaction that we experience are so heartfelt that it feels like we are the ones receiving the gifts,” says Howard Siegel, CEO, Irwin Siegel Agency, Inc.
