Annual Award Recognizes Contributions of Direct Support Professionals

July 25, 2012 | Rock Hill, NY— Irwin Siegel Agency, Inc. (ISA) is pleased to announce its annual Direct Support Professionals (DSP) Recognition Award. This national was created in 2002 by Irwin Siegel Agency to recognize and honor four (4) DSPs who demonstrate excellence in the areas of self-determination, leadership, inclusion, and professional development Direct Support Professionals go to work each day with a mission to improve the lives of others. Every task is set forth with the intention to help others gain essential life skills. With the belief that all people can learn and grow, small differences are made transforming disabilities into abilities.

Nominees for ISA’s DSP Recognition Award must be currently employed for a minimum of one year with a service provider and must work in a direct care position. Nomineeds should demonstrate self-determination, leadership, inclusion, commitment to professional development and a provision of direct support.

Each winner will receive $250, a commemorative certificate, and a subscription to Frontline Initiative, the newsletter for and by Direct Support Professionals from NADSP (www.nadsp.org). Winners will be listed on ISA’s website and social media profiles/pages and may appear in various ads or resources throughout the year.
