Brad G. Storey, Director of Risk Management Division, received his BA in Social Science with a concentration in Criminology from Ramapo College of New Jersey. He also holds a Masters degree in Social Work, Administration, Policy, and Planning from Rutgers University. While attending graduate school, he completed internships in a Jail Diversion Case management program and General Administration, focusing on research, grant writing, and quality management. He recently received his 10 hour OSHA General Industry card, as well as becoming certified through the NYS Department of Labor as a Drug & Alcohol Prevention Program Specialist for ICR 60. Mr. Storey is also currently in the process of obtaining his Certified Risk Manager designation (CRM) through the National Alliance for Insurance Education and Research.
Prior to ISA, Mr. Storey worked at a community mental health center in various capacities. This includes managing residential group homes for people with mental illness, a boarding home for homeless veterans with a substance abuse history, and an Integrated Case Management Services clinical team. Mr. Storey served as the Quality Assurance Analyst, where he discovered his passion for risk management. In this capacity, he championed the Joint Commission re-accreditation process and developed an organization-wide utilization review program. In 2003, Mr. Storey became a chairperson and member of the Utilization Review Committee for another non-profit organization that provides supportive housing services to low income individuals with mental illness.
Since joining ISA, Mr. Storey played a significant role in broadening risk management resource offerings for ISA insured organizations. In addition, he has developed a national network of consultants and specialty partner services that provide consultation on specific human service exposures. He has presented at a multitude of State and National conferences on the topics of organizational safety, risk management, and proactive risk assessments. In 2010, Mr. Storey was elected to the Board of Directors of a National Association, dedicated to advancing the practice of Psychiatric Rehabilitation. He served the Board and finance committee until 2011.
