October 2009 - ISA, Essential Learning’s e-learning partner and the premier provider
of insurance and risk management solutions to the social service field, is generously offering Essential Learning (EL) customers commercial insurance products at a reduced cost.

Essential Learning has been provisionally accredited by the National Alliance of Direct Support Professionals (NADSP).  Essential Learning will continue the NADSP accreditation process to ensure full accreditation is received by next year.

NADSP accreditation assures that those who successfully complete Essential Learning training courses will be eligible for national credentialing. Direct Support Professionals who complete Essential Learning's approved training curriculum may now use these training hours toward the 200 educational hours required to become a Certified Direct Support Professional (DSP-C) as well as to maintain their certification which requires the completion of 20 hours of continuing education every two years.

Approved training curriculum will be available by August 31, 2009.
