Addiction Treatment
Our Addiction Treatment Package is designed for organizations and
facilities that support those striving to overcome alcohol and substance
abuse, as well as other forms of addiction. These facilities may
offer a variety of services, such as counseling, workshops, and
vocational programs, but should not include acute medical care as
a primary service component.
Addiction is a pathological relationship to a substance, person,
behavior or process. The idea that addicts lack willpower has long
been debunked. There is a major shift in the field of addiction
and mental health services that has supported and yielded an emerging
recovery paradigm. There is now a greater focus on what happens
before and after treatment, a shift from professional-directed treatment
plans to client-developed recovery plans. There is simultaneously
a greater emphasis on the physical, social and cultural environment
in which recovery succeeds or fails, and an increased use of peer-based
recovery coaches. ISA supports providers who focus on the recovery
of the individual before, during, and after primary treatment is
completed. Understanding that relapse often occurs with addicts,
having the supports for the individual throughout the treatment
cycle promotes greater chances of long-term recovery and reduces
the chances of relapse.
